Sony Just Messed Up Again, 60 GB SKU Is No More

On October 8th, 2007 in Uncategorized -

Well, to be honest, we’re not surprised. How can you be with all the mess and all the PR blunders that have been going on during the past year? Well, it just got worse for European PS3 fans (or future fans), as Sony has announced that the 60 GB PS3 will only last as long as there are supplies, after that, bye bye 60 GB PS3. What will be left is the 40 GB version, which doesn’t feature backwards compatibility, has 2 less USB ports and no memory card reader. It will retail for 300 GBP.

There can be two reasons for this; 1) Sony has completely lost it, or 2) they’re introducing another PS3 SKU for this holiday season, perhaps a 120 GB or 160 GB version.

When will they stop experimenting and just stick to one, or two, or any number of SKUs, instead of changing everything, every few months?
