Today marks a glorious occasion in the lives of video-game rockers everywhere. The final list of tracks that will be included with Rock Band at launch has been released. With a fairly lengthy list of almost sixty songs from as far back as the 60s, rockers of every age and every era should find at least a handful of songs they enjoy. From classics like the Rolling Stones’ “Gimme Shelter” and Black Sabbath’s “Paranoid” to modern hits including The Hives’ “Main Offender” and Jet’s “Are You Gonna Be My Girl” this list is quite expansive and covers almost every kind of rock you could want. Fifty-one out of the fifty-eight songs are all taken from original master recordings, ensuring that the quality of the tracks will be no less than stunning. In addition to forty-five well known tracks there will be thirteen songs from new and upcoming bands to unlock as you play. There are also plans to make more digital download packs available in the future. Here’s the full list:
