Halo Movie Not Quite Dead
Despite the disparaging news that Fox studios and Universal had both pulled out of the Halo movie, Microsoft isn’t letting the project go. They’re already talking with other firms to get the partnerships needed to continue production of the film. Both major studios pulled out after reportedly trying to get a bigger cut of the eventual profits according to Peter Jackson’s representative Ken Kamins. With director Neill Blomkamp having already filmed several Halo 3 shorts that can be shown to potential investors as to the potential quality of the finished product, it’s hopeful that we’ll be seeing Master Chief on the big screen some time soon. As far as who plays the hero? I think they should take a Darth Vader approach: get a huge guy who’ll fill out the armor and really seem larger than life and recruit a talented voice to bring the character to life.
