Gamecock Endorsing Colbert For President in ’08
If you’ve been paying attention to the U.S. presidential campaign you may or may not have noticed a possible dark horse candidate: Steven Colbert, the humorous political commentator and author originally made famous by his role on Comedy Central’s The Daily Show. Fans everywhere are enthusiastically following every bit of news that comes out regarding his possible White House attempt and someone else has sat up and taken notice. Gamecock Media Group, a recently formed Texas-based independent game studio has announced their support for Mr. Colbert. With the intellectual funnyman having been barred from enrolling in the presidential race in his home state of South Carolina, Harry Miller, President of Gamecock Media Group has invited Mr. Colbert to run his campaign out of Texas and has even gone so far as to offer up their offices as a campaign center. His decision is based on the appearance of Will Wright on “The Colbert Report” as well as Steven Colbert having played Wii Sports’ boxing game against Nancy Pelosi on the show.
Gamecock also plans to get into the spirit of Colbert’s campaign and proposes others do so with their upcoming title “Hail To The Chimp” wherein players take the roles of animals battling it out to become the new ‘King of the Animals’.
