Warner Buys TT Games

On November 9th, 2007 in Uncategorized -

Warner Bros. Home Entertainment, a growing publisher and developer, today announced that it has acquired Traveler’s Tales Games, the studio behind the much beloved Star Wars Lego franchise and the upcoming Lego-themed renditions of Indiana Jones and Batman.

“TT Games will become the cornerstone of our Home Entertainment Group’s family-focused games strategy,” stated WBHE president Kevin Tsujihara. “The expertise that TT Games brings to Warner Bros. is a great match with our brands as well as an opportunity to effectively leverage our existing global infrastructure.”

It is said that the purchase of TT Games will have no effect on the company’s current relationships with Lego, LucasArts, or Guinness World Records, which has granted it rights to develop games based on the yearly record book. However, it is to be noted that Warner Bros. will be handling the publishing of all future titles from the studio.
