Who knew the PS3 is now 1 year old?! Well, Sony made sure everyone remembered, as they sent out a self-congratulatory birthday cake to major press, including Engadget who has blogged about it. The cake, as pictured to the right, seems pretty big and delicious too, and most interestingly has an “edible t-shirt iron-on”.

The PS3 as a console is superior technically over its Nintendo and Microsoft counterparts, but has been dogged by record-breaking sales by the Wii and developer inclination towards the Xbox 360. However, it seems to have picked up some steam with recently released blockbusters like Warhawk, Heavenly Sword and Uncharted, with Killzone 2 and others on the way.
