Some people like to bash Sony around all day and see them as evil, greedy, selfish bastards who just want to rule the world. Or something like that. However, you have to give the company some credit, as SOE, the MMO-focused gaming division, has joined forces with Toys for Tots San Diego to help them expand their cause.

The Toys for Tots program is a nonprofit charity run by the Marine Corps which collects new, unwrapped toys and distributes them to needy children in the community as Christmas presents. The toys are collected by Reserve Marines at various community fundraisers and civic functions and then distributed to local social and welfare agencies, churches and civic organizations.

So, the next time you call Sony evil keep in mind that they are actually making some needy child somewhere happy on Christmas morning.
