The official PlayStation magazine reports that Metal Gear Solid 4 and its multiplayer side project Metal Gear Online will be bundled together as one release. A “starter pack” version of the online game, featuring five different maps, will be bundled alongside the single-player action game.

Metal Gear Online builds on the graphical prowess of MGS4, offering up to sixteen player multiplayer matches. Players will be able to level up based on their combat experience and heavy emphasis will be placed on character customization.

MGS4-MGO is currently expected to hit stores during Q2 2008.
