Microsoft Silent On Motion Control Rumors

On December 28th, 2007 in Uncategorized -

After rumors surfaced yesterday that Gyration were working on a prototype for a motion-sensing add-on to the Xbox 360 controller, Microsoft is adopting its usual stance regarding these rumors. That is, they are refusing to comment on the issue. Given that the Wii and the PS3 both have motion sensing control (although it hasn’t been implemented much on the PS3) it’s not unlikely that this is a rumor with some truth to it. One has to wonder how complicated the controllers will get however before they require cybernetic finger attachments in order to play games. While context sensitive controls can often take some of the burden off the player, how many different buttons can there possibly be?
