Vib Ribbon was one of the most unique games on the PS1, allowing players to play levels and gameplay that was based on their music collection. Sony recently re-rated the game, with many speculating that it might be released on the PlayStation Network quite soon. However, that doesn’t seem to be the case.

VideoGamer.com carries word straight from the company that no new version of the game is in the works, PSN or otherwise. “We regularly have our games rated so this may not mean it’s actually going to be released but you can always keep your fingers crossed,” said a company spokesperson.

It’d be great if Vib Ribbon hit the PS3 via PSN, because it is truly one of the most unique games ever released.
