Following a denial by Atari that Alone in the Dark had been delayed, an Infogrames executive today confirmed that the game has indeed been pushed to May of this year.

In an interview with French newspaper Les Echos, republished on MCV, Infogrames CEO Patrick Leleu stated that the game’s development is “nearing completion” but that “some scenes deserve to be more polished and we will not take any shortcuts.”

This comes alongside word from CVG that the PS3 version of Alone in the Dark has been delayed beyond the new May release window. However, it will still be released within this year. The game is being developed for the PC, PS2, PS3, Wii and Xbox 360.
