Guitar Hero 3 Gets 3 More Tracks, Sometime

On January 19th, 2008 in Uncategorized -

Owners of Guitar Hero 3 have been getting the shaft recently. Can’t say I’m pleased as punch over Activision’s currently practices, although it sure is making them a lot of money nonetheless. Apparently though, they haven’t completely abandoned GH3 in favor of the fourth iteration and multiple spin-offs coming later this year. Three new tracks are rumored to be on the way, and they aren’t too bad either. Foreigner’s “Juke Box Hero,” Journey’s “Any Way You Want It” and Boston’s “Peace of Mind,” are all rumored to be coming as DLC, although we aren’t sure when that will occur.

Along with that is no information on the pricing (which probably will remain steep), whether the tracks will be bundled or sold separately and whether or not they are master tracks. Needless to say, Journey is an awesome addition, but I’d much prefer it to appear on that other game which would be a tad cheaper and a whole lot more fun. But since GH3 is getting Juke Box Hero, we know the door can swing both ways.
