If you went to the movies recently you might have caught a trailer for the upcoming sci-fi action film “Jumper” which portrays a group of humans able to teleport anywhere who are at war with another group who wish to wipe them out. It’s been known for some time that a game has been planned to be released around the same time as the film. Unlike many adaptations of movies, this game won’t be featuring a digital version of the protagonist. There will be some intersections between the plot of the movie and that of the game, but the action will follow a jumper named Griffin who is out to avenge the death of his parents. As one would expect, the teleportation ability will be a main feature of the game. While you can easily jump out of danger, you can also integrate it into your fighting by jumping around opponents to strike them from all angles or even by teleporting them into unfavorable situations: in front of a train, in a busy intersection or even just hundreds of feet in the air. With a much wider range of time and situations than the movie its creators will be putting in more information on the Paladin organization as well. Jumper: Griffin’s Story will be coming to the Wii, Xbox 360 and PS2.
