Nyko Announces Wireless Nunchuck Adapter

Nyko has already showcased their wireless nunchuck for the Wii which won the ‘Best of CES’ award from Cnet. Unfortunately many of us already have a full compliment of wiimotes and nunchucks and might not be too keen on throwing away perfectly good peripherals. If wireless play still appeals to you, Nyko is offering a compromise. Today they’ve announced a wireless adapter for the existing Wii controllers. The dongle that plugs into the nunchuck slot on the Wiimote is still the same, but there’s an extra unit for the nunchuck itself which holds the cord wrapped in the base and transmits the wireless signal to the dongle. This peripheral is set to release in February at a MSRP of $19.99.
