Bringing the arcade-style racer to the DS, Focus Home Interactive has announced Trackmania DS, a port of the popular PC title. In development at UK-based Firebrand, the DS version is said to feature the same frantic racing action as its PC counterpart, including a track editor that will allow players to create courses from hundreds of different design blocks.

As expected, it will feature both single and multiplayer racing, though no further information was revealed. Trackmania DS is set to rip up DSes everywhere in Q4 2008.
