This year’s Spring will be filled with the sound of revving engines and lightning fast shells whizzing around every corner as Nintendo announced Mario Kart Wii‘s release date: April 27. The game will come with the intuitive Wii Wheel, making it easy for novices to compete with veterans. It will also support Wi-fi Connection, allowing up to twelve players race for dominance.

Mario Kart Wii includes 16 new courses and 16 classic courses from its predecessors. Players will have the option of racing with either karts or motorbikes and use Mii caricatures in addition to the classic Nintendo characters included with the game.
