Rockband Wii Gimped, But Five Bonus Songs

There are some obvious questions concerning Rock Band on the Wii, obviously Wii owners should be happy with the fact they are finally receiving the product, but but all signs it looks like the go to Rock Band experience still falls on the 360 (at least if you happen to already own Guitar Hero).
Like the PS2 version of the game, the Wii version will go sans downloadable music, at least for the moment as Harmonix seems to point out. I wouldn’t count on DLC popping up in the very near future, but Wii owners are more than used to this reality, at least until Nintendo fully gets their DLC service off the ground.
What other things should you know before taking the leap? Guitar Hero 3 controllers will unfortunately not be compatable, but we know the blame in that area falls solely on Activision, who simply refuses to let Harmonix utilize their existing peripheral devices. The good news is that standalone instruments will be available on day one, so at least you don’t need to wait… anymore than you already have.
