A rumor was started up by a post on a fan forum that has had everyone in frenzied speculation about what system RE4, the once system exclusive title, would end up on next. After all, it makes a good deal of sense that the fourth game would wind up on the systems sporting the 5th in the series.

However, Capcom has stated otherwise, and the only nex-gen system that will have RE4 will in fact be Nintendo. A post from the Capcom official forum had this to say fairly immediately afterwards, poking flaws in the theory:

“Wow. Really? We work in San Francisco? I didn’t know that. Why does my business card say we’re in San Mateo? Darn it, I need to get it updated. We have no artists that work in Dev here… Further more, All RE comes out of Japan. None of it comes from CEI.”
