Rainbow Six Vegas 2 Strikes it Big in Vegas, Sells 2 Million Copies

Despite some technical complaints and the obvious fact that it is just a rehash of its predecessors, Ubisoft Montreal-developed Rainbow Six Vegas 2 has sold nearly 2 million copies since its mid-March launch. The publisher is quite elated, noting that it was a “better than expected” performance.
Seeing how the rehashed title has gotten them big sales, Ubisoft has raised its sales target for the 2007-08 fiscal year to 920 million Euros (approximately $1.4 billion).
“2008 is off to be a record year for the videogame market and our games have performed remarkably well in this context,” said company CEO Yves Guillemot.
