Xbox 360 Motion Controller Named “Newton”

On April 10th, 2008 in Uncategorized -

Rumors have begun circulating about Microsoft working on a motion-sensing controller for the Xbox 360 thanks to MTV. Further information about this very tentative idea has come out: a name. Code named “Newton” there’s a very simple sketch floating around the internet showing what a prototype might look like. As you can imagine, it looks a lot like a Wii remote. Just a simple rectangle with four buttons and a trigger underneath. Is it true? Possibly; we all know that the idea has a lot of affection already with the gaming and non-gaming crowd alike. It could be entirely possible that Microsoft themselves created this rumor to draw people’s attention away from the often denied rumors that MS is acquiring Blu-ray drives. That might just be extreme paranoia on my part, but one can never be too sure.
