With the WiiWare service nearing launch, D2C Games sent out word that it is going to release SPOGS Racing, an arcade-style racing game for the service. The game features high-speed arcade racing and is said to have “Crash n’ Grab” battling action as players race around a dozen unique tracks.

The vehicles can be personalized, customized and modified with in-game images and vehicle parts, according to the announcement. It will feature several game modes, including modes where the player performs stunts with loops and jumps; multiple difficulty modes and control schemes; racing power-ups, weapons and head-to-head multiplayer.

Though no release date was mentioned, the game is expected to be released alongside WiiWare’s launch this coming May.
