New Prince of Persia Trademark Filed

Word comes from Trademork that Prince of Persia creator Jordan Mechner has filed a trademark for Prince of Persia Prodigy, suggesting that a new game in the franchise may be released soon.
Publisher Ubisoft remains silent about the next Prince of Persia game. No platforms have been confirmed, though the company has stated that a new game should arrive by the end of its current fiscal year which ends March 2009.
A Prince of Persia film is currently in pre-production. It also does not have a definite release date.
