Favre on Madden NFL 09 Cover

Electronic Arts has officially announced that retired Green Bay Packers quarterback Brett Favre will grace the cover of Madden NFL 09. The game, which is set for release on August 12, will be the latest in the series on the PS2, PS3, Xbox, Xbox 360, Wii, DS and PSP. A PC version is also said to be in development.
Quite humorously, many believe that the Madden curse (which is said to result in injuries or poor seasonal performance) will not apply to Favre since he has retired.
