WoW Expansion This Year, User Base Grows Further

Financial documents released by Vivendi reveal that the second expansion pack for insanely successful MMORPG World of Warcraft will be released later this year. Owner of Blizzard, the legendary development studio, Vivendi twice specified in said documents that the Wrath of the Lich King expansion pack would arrive in the second half of 2008. Up until now, no release date was provided.
Furthermore, Vivendi revealed that the popular MMORPG’s user base had grown to 10.7 million since it hit the 10 million mark this January. The Lich King expansion is set to further solidify the user experience by offering various enhancements and additions such as the new Death Knight class.
