PS3 Gets In-game Youtube Uploads

On May 17th, 2008 in Uncategorized -

mass-iss-youtube-490Joystiq reports that Sony is integrating the Youtube API in its software development kit to allow developers to add video uploading capabilities to their games. This will allow players to easily upload their in-game videos directly to the video-sharing service from within the game.

The only currently known title to feature this is Mainichi Issho, a free Japanese PlayStation Network title that debuted in November 2006. The site offers a screenshot (mirrored here) that shows how to upload videos to Youtube.

No other game has so far been announced to use the Youtube API.
