Polish studio Gingerbread Studios has announced their first project to be The Protector, a first/third-person shooter for PC and Xbox 360. Focusing on the exploits of two different characters – British mercenary Jonathan Kane and US archaeologist Jennifer Guile – the game has players going up against a terrorist organization called Scarlet Vengeance, which is looking to use a powerful Aztec artifact to carry out terrorist attacks.

It will feature both shooting action and stealth sections, having the player use the environments to take cover or hide. The game will feature an enhanced physics system, allowing players to shoot through thin walls, or even be shot at through walls. Puzzles, mini-games, different endings and various enemies round out the game.
