Rock Band in Japan

Harmonix and MTV have announced that they will team up with Q Entertainment, a leading Japanese music game designer, to bring the game to Japan. The two studios will work together on the title, making the first US-originated rock music game to be localized for the Japanese market. It will feature both Japanese musical acts as well as other localized assets.

Q Entertainment is a leader in the music games genre, having released Lumines, Rez HD and Every Extend Extra, all of which have been critically acclaimed.

Rock Band is already a major hit in North America and Europe where it has sold over 3 million units. It continues to attract more attention to itself with weekly releases of downloadable content and great choice of music.
