While we have known for some time that Saints Row 2 is currently in development for both the PS3 and Xbox 360 it was recently announced via THQ’s product page that it will also hit the PC.

Saints Row 2 will be exactly what you’ve come to know with the first title, a third person shoot em up bearing an uncanny resemblance to Rockstar’s Grand Theft Auto franchise. Although, new updates include a vast improvement of customization, improved and expanded city of Stillwater, along with a whole new array of vehicles and weapons for players to choose from.

Saints Row 2 will differ from GTA 4 in the multiplayer section of the game as while incorporating a competitive mode it will also feature online multiplayer co-op, which Rockstar didn’t add in full to their game.
