Postal Wins Awards At Film Festival

On June 16th, 2008 in Uncategorized -

It seems that against all odds, someone thinks Uwe Boll can make a decent movie. The controversial video game adaptation of Postal netted the German director a few top honors at the Hoboken International Film Festival. Boll was awarded the ‘Best Director’ award, which gives you an idea of the quality of the other films at this festival. Postal also won the Best of Festival award, beating out such quality films as “The Noogies”, “In The Eyes of A Killer”, “Predator’s Return” and “The Pack”. Boll won a $500 prize for his award, and split a $500 prize for the ‘Best Of Festival’ award with the folks at Running With Scissors.

A helpful forum poster looked up the movies Boll was competing against for the top slot, and of all five, only three are listed on IMDB (and when you consider how many films are on there that says something) and only one has a posted budget of just one million. Postal had a budget of 20 million.
