THQ announced over the weekend that Triple H and Shawn Michaels will be joining up to grace the cover of WWE Smackdown vs. Raw 2009.

The game, due out later this year on a multitude of platforms, is the latest in the long-running wrestling franchise, making itself superior over its predecessors by including a brand new tag-team experience, allowing players to build momentum and attributed, eliminate opponents with double teams and finishers, and more.

It also includes a new Create-a-Finisher option, as well as a Road to Wrestlemania road completely new to the series.

The game is in development for PS2, PSP, PS3, Xbox 360, Wii and DS.
