1942 Gets Release Date

Capcom sent out word that their highly anticipated shooter 1942: Joint Strike will be released on Xbox Live Arcade on July 23, with the PlayStation Network getting it a day later.
A remake of the classic title from the ’80s, 1942 is a vertical arcade shooter, with gameplay resembling the same 2D style that gamers expect, but at the same time utilizing a fully 3D engine.
It will feature two-player online cooperative play, with graphics and music similarly updated by Backbone Entertainment, the developers.
