E3 2008: Microsoft: "We’re Stealing PlayStation’s Franchises! LOL!"
Feeling high after successfully coaxing Square Enix to also release Final Fantasy XIII on the Xbox 360, Don Mattick, head of Microsoft’s interactive entertainment business, went on record to say that traditional PlayStation franchises have “found a new home” on their console.
“Wow. That [FF XIII] looked incredible. It’s another astonishing addition to our array of RPG titles,” he said. “It shows that a long list of former PlayStation franchises are now finding a new home on 360. It’s happened with Guitar Hero, it’s happened with Madden and now it’s happening with Resident Evil and Final Fantasy.”
Meanwhile, Sony fanboys weep at the corner.
