Nintendo has told their developer Shigeru Miyamoto that he’s to stop discussing his various hobbies. Why you ask? It seems that many of Nintendo’s blockbuster titles have come from his preferred activities. Miyamoto’s love of puzzles spawned Brain Training, exercise gave birth to Wii FIt and gardening sprouted the idea for Pikmin. Wii Music is rumored to have come out of his love of music.

The concern on Nintendo executives’ minds is that other companies will be able to glean hints of upcoming titles and thus Nintendo’s overall strategy from the casual comments Miyamoto makes regarding his various pass-times.
