‘Arkham Asylum’ Based Game In The Works
If there’s any more easily accomplished cross-over than comic book characters making the jump to video games I have yet to see it. Whether they coincide with films or not, both Marvel and DC comic’s characters have been in enough games to rival most company mascots. It’s not the much rumored “Dark Knight” game everyone’s been buzzing about but for fans of the Dark Knight Eidos and Rocksteady Studios are brewing up something quite interesting.
While most games featuring Batman have him jumping around the city and pummeling villains both aliased and anonymous, this game will have players exploring Arkham Asylum, the eventual holding place of most of Batman’s foes. It’s being described as ‘reminiscent of Bioshock’, a pedigree both hope-inspiring and worry-inducing as comparisons like that most often fall short.
