On August 26th, 2008 in Uncategorized -

To satisfy Internet-hungry PSP customers, Sony Japan today announced a partnership with the world’s largest global Wi-fi community FON to create a new service – PSPxFON.

The two companies plan to roll out FON access points all over Japan for free Internet browsing via the PSP. There are approximately 44,000 FON spots across Japan and over 2,200 FON livedoor spots, which cover central Tokyo.

Users in Japan will be able to browse the Internet and download game demos, clips, and other stuff through their PSP. It wasn’t mentioned if multiplayer gaming will be supported or not.
