EA Looking at Top 20 Studios, Japanese Developers

On September 4th, 2008 in Uncategorized -

Scooping another big one, MTV Multiplayer talked with EA Partners program manager David DeMartini about the company’s plans on world domination through videogames.

Apparently, EA has its eyes on the world’s top 20 development studios and is looking to sign Japanese talent. The studio currently has deals with Valve, Epic, id Software as well as Resident Evil creator Shinji Mikami.

On working with Japanese studios, DeMartini said, “That would represent something that is slightly uncomfortable for both parties, but also represents something that is very unique and very special.”

However, he isn’t offering any word as to whom the company is looking to approach.
