First Details on Crysis PC
The first Crysis game met with much trepidation from gamers due to its high system requirements. While developer Crytek is working on optimizing Crysis Warhead, an expansion pack of sorts, to run on lesser machines, they are also working on readying a line of Crysis-ready computers, though details were nonexistent till today.
Shacknews got the chance to play the coming game on their Crysis-ready PC, which will be priced at $699 and is being developed by EA, Crytek, NVIDIA and system builder UltraPC.
The computer packs a Core Duo E7300 (2.66GHz) processor coupled with a 9800GT GPU and 2GB. This system was reportedly the internal benchmark the developer used when developing the game; it is said to run the game at an average of 30 frames per second, though resolution wasn’t specified.
More details are expected soon. This system is expected to launch alongside the game on September 16.
