Rock Band Reality Show Being Planned
In what can be considered a completely stupid move, MTV is planning to create a reality television show based off Rock Band, Harmonix’s popular music rhythm game. This comes from a Craigslist casting call found by Variety.
The show is reportedly being led by Mark Burnett, creator of successful reality shows like Survivor and The Apprentice. The program is being billed as the “first show based on the new video game Rock Band 2.”
According to the listing, MTV is looking for four people to form their own band and “show us their stuff live on stage for the chance to win the Ultimate Rock Band Experience,” whatever that is. The four should live in Southern California and be at least 18 years old; no musical experience is required.
Rock Band 2 was released this week on Xbox 360.
