Activision Buys FreeStyleGames
Activision Blizzard subsidiary Activision Publishing has announced that it has purchased FreeStyleGames, a UK-based developer best known for B-Boy, a breakdancing game for PS2 and PSP.
The studio is currently said to be working on localized downloadable content for Guitar Hero, along with an unannounced music-based game. Activision notes that this acquisition is the latest step in its “global leadership position in the music-based genre.”
FreeStyleGames affirms that it will retain creative control and “have the opportunity to continue to achieve [their] own ambitious targets.”
