Zelda Theme Pops Up In PS3 News Conference
Nintendo’s longevity and that of its classic characters means that many things associated with them are easily recognized. That includes their theme musics. Although they have been updated through the years with greater synthesized sounds and eventually full instrumental tracks, the various theme musics have been brought forward with every new installment of their franchises.
Someone probably lost a job over this: at the press conference where Sony was launching the PS3 in Malaysia, Naoi Sudo, managing director of Sony Malaysia, took the stage to deliver his speech. As befits the gentleman’s high ranking position they played some stirringly triumphant music. The problem? The particular tune that was played is the theme tune from the Legend of Zelda.
