Concept Video For Mirror’s Edge

On September 24th, 2008 in Uncategorized -

Isn’t it interesting when comparing concept art and early demonstrations of games to the final product? Often the change is very drastic. Just look at the first video of Spore. In the case of Mirror’s Edge, however, it doesn’t seem like they changed the game that much. They simply removed guns (or at least lowered the significance of guns in gameplay), turned the main character into a girl, and most importantly, added textures. Not that it’s a bad thing, I’m certain that Portal was the same. The point is, they found an interesting concept, and they haven’t messed with it. Also, if this concept video was in third person, I think it would look a lot like what Ubisoft has planned for Assassin’s Creed 2.
