Amongst the horde of super-powered heroes and villains and martial arts masters there’s a surprising character in the roster of the Mortal Kombat versus DC Comics fighting game.

The bald mastermind Lex Luthor who was more well-known for political and corporate machinations by which he gained power and influence seems rather outmatched against the likes of the sorcerous Shang Tsung and the noble yet supremely badass Liu Kang.

Some new screenshots show the method by which the game designers are incorporating the chrome-domed badguy. It’s a tried and true method of putting normal men on an equal footing with super heroes: give them a fancy suit. The only shot that really shows him in action hints that he might have a whole arsenal of tricks up his shiny metal sleeves as it shows him torching Kitana with a flamethrower. Toasty!
