Ubisoft today announced that they will release Prince of Persia Classic on the PlayStation Network on October 23. This is the remake of the critically acclaimed 1989 game that started it all.

The remake will, however, improve upon the original with revamped character designs and animations, as well as new visual and lighting effects in order to give the game a 3D look. New traps, puzzles and enemies will also be added.

No price point was mentioned, though it is expected to fall in line with that of the Xbox Live version, which sells for 800 Microsoft points ($10).
