Fallout 3 Sees Big Launch, $300 Million Sales

Following its success in UK, developer Bethesda today announced that over 4.7 million copies of Fallout 3 have been shipped worldwide since the game’s debut last week, noting that the figure represents retail sales in “excess of $300 million.”
The studio did not provide sales figure breakdowns on platforms, but said that it had “record sales at launch.”
It should be pointed out that in the UK the most popular version was the Xbox 360 version, accounting for 55% of the sales, followed by PS3 and PC at 28% and 17%, respectively.
