EVE Online Going Retail, New Title Teased by Developer

eve_online_logo Developer CCP has announced that publisher Atari will distribute the studio’s long-time running MMO EVE Online in retail stores across North America, Europe and Asia. The boxed version of the MMO is expected to hit stores in March 2009.

Additionally, the developer teased some new footage of an unannounced game at its fan fest over the weekend. Eurogamer, who attended the event, noted that the video showed a “Halo-like shooter” with an EVE-like art style. It was mentioned that the studio plans on developing PS3 and Xbox 360 versions alongside the PC original.

The studio is also currently working on another MMO dubbed World of Darkness.
