While many of our younger readers are likely scratching their heads at the mention of Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee Roy Orbison, his contribution to modern music is much the same as many artists of the past. In the 1960s he had an astounding top ten hits in four years, although he never had a #1 hit until his resurgence in the 1980s. He influenced many noted artists including Bruce Springsteen, Bono and K.D. Lang. You might not know the name or the face, but everyone knows the upbeat strumming of “Oh, Pretty Woman”.
A track pack featuring several of Mr. Orbison’s most popular songs will be available for Rock Band starting tomorrow. The whole pack costs $9.99 but individual songs are available for $1.99 each. “Oh, Pretty Woman,” “Ooby Dooby,” “In Dreams,” “Claudette,” “Mean Woman Blues” and “You Got It.” We’ll likely be seeing even more of Roy Orbison as the pack is titled “Roy Orbison Pack 01″.

It’s (almost) official, Wii Sports if the best selling game of all time. Even better then Pokemon, Tetris and Super Mario Bros. But why?
Well, other than it’s obvious attraction to all ages, you have to take into account that it is bundleded with the Wii console itself, and has been since it’s hit the market. Hell, I don’t even know if they sell Wii Sports seperately.
Either or, Nintendo did a good job, and stories like this continue to prove it. It just makes me wonder, what will their next console be like?

If you’ve been looking to get your Halo 3 on by means of a mouse and keyboard, but haven’t found any way to do so, the day of reckoning has arrived.
Ok, so it’s not official, and it does cost $180, but it theoretically will allow you to play any of your favorite Xbox 360 games with a mouse and keyboard.
Entitled the XIM 2, all it basically is, is a modified Xbox 360 controller that allows you to plug in a mouse and keybord. Now common Microsoft (or third parties), you don’t want some sketchy hacker extorting gamers with a peice of hardware you could sell for $30, do you?

If you’re looking to cash in on your original Xbox console, you better do it fast. A recent rumor circulating the internet says that come Feb. 9th, GameStop will no longer be accepting the original Xbox as a trade-in.
Below is a quote from a Kotaku reader regarding the rumor:
“The Marketing kit for this coming Sunday has a sign that says Gamestop will no longer be accepting Xbox games, systems and accessories as of Feb 9th. Finally, corporate has realized this, after selling an incredibly low number of systems and games. My store probably sells one Xbox a month or so.”
So again, be this rumor true or not, you better trade in your Xbox now while you still can, just in case.

We all love gaming but do we love gaming to such an extent that we have to install gaming consoles inside our cars? And I can understand the passengers can be bored after a six hour journey but why would the driver need that Xbox 360 controller?
Why did they choose an Xbox? Well it’s cheaper than the PS3 and the Wii would be really inappropriate right? The car features two Xbox 360, two projectors, two screens and more controllers. Would you want your car to be transformed into something horrible like this Suzuki?

VG247 claims to have information suggesting that developer Traveller’s Tale is making a LEGO Rock Band game. Not Star Wars, not Indiana Jones, but Rock Band.
As early as a few weeks ago, the developer confirmed that a new LEGO game would be released in 2009, but didn’t offer any detail as to what kind of game it would be.
In addition to Rock Band, another option is the Harry Potter franchise, which has had “LEGO” rumors over its head for a few years now.
