Braid PC Comes Down to $15

On February 19th, 2009 in Uncategorized -

Many quarters of the Internet erupted with whining from gamers responding to the fact that the PC version of Braid would cost $20 – a $5 premium over the Xbox 360 version. Those whiners can rest easy now, as the creator of the game has reduced the price to $14.95.

“Yesterday, Stardock announced that they would be selling Braid at the end of March for $19.95,” wrote creator Jonathan Blow. “This price has proven to be unpopular in certain areas of the Internets, so I’ve reduced it to $14.95.”

“Some people have asked why I picked the $20 price point,” he continued. “The answer is, I just looked at some comparable games on the PC and saw how much they were charging.”

Blow added that more distribution platforms will be announced soon.
