Codemasters today re-announced the Operation Flashpoint sequel after two years, revealing that it is coming to PS3 and Xbox 360 alongside the PC. In addition, the game dropped the ‘2’ from its title and is now titled Operation Flashpoint: Dragon Rising.

Seeing as how Bohemia – series creators – have moved on to produce the ArmA franchise, Codemasters is developing the sequel internally. It makes use of the EGO engine, which was seen in action in Race Driver GRID and Colin McRae: DIRT.

Dragon Rising is due out this summer.
