The poor man’s Ninja Gaiden – Ninja Blade – will be slashing it up in North American stores on April 7, as announced by publisher Microsoft today.

Developed by From Software, the game follows a ninja who battles monsters across the Tokyo skyline. These monsters are actually people who have mutated due to a disease/virus/something-you-don’t-really-care-about.

A downloadable demo of the game will be available in the North American Xbox Live Marketplace starting March 9. Those who pre-order the game from participating retailers will receive a free download of the Ninja Blade Premium Theme.
