While the game mode was unveiled before, developer Criterion has officially announced that the next downloadable pack for Burnout Paradise will see the addition of cops and robbers-style chases.

Dubbed the “Cops and Robbers Pack”, the premium DLC will bring the “thrills and spills of cops and robbers car chases in Paradise City.” The pack is due out following the Party Pack, Legendary Cars, Toy Cars and Boost Specials Updates.

The cops and robbers mode was available in earlier Burnout games. Introduction of this mode in Paradise city is awesome, to say the very least!

Does anyone care about Home anymore? Well if you do then check out the recently released 1.10 patch notes below.

I wonder how far Sony is going to take home before they consider it a failure. Then again, with Sony really looking to make a killing in 2009, perhaps Home will take off and prove all of us wrong. I guess only time will tell at this point.

We are constantly tweaking and enhancing various game elements to improve your experience in PlayStation Home. Updates in 1.10 include:

* The speed of the initial log-on process has been improved and a progress bar has been added to provide you with more information about what is happening.
* Items that you have already purchased will now be loaded when you first log-in, reducing the loading time when you enter stores in the Mall.
* Other players’ avatars will now load faster when you enter a space.
* The names of Home reward items will now be shown when you obtain them.
* Download priorities have been changed so that certain graphics and images (like thumbnail images and World Map chips) will download more quickly.
* The inventory system (that stores Home Reward items) has been reworked and made more robust. We have also implemented additional safeguards to help ensure that you cannot inadvertently lose any of your items.
* The Chat log window will now always be displayed on top of any other on-screen graphics, except when zoomed in to a video or poster. When zoomed in, the chat window will no longer display.
* The size of the text box has been improved on message boards in Clubhouses.
* The option to “Block voice chat” has been changed to “Block chat,” which will allow you to block both voice chat and text chat at the same time. Players blocked with this feature will not be automatically added to the block list on your Friends list.

Now you’re going to have to take this with a grain of sand as it’s not been confirmed if this is actually Dead Rising 2 or not. Although speculation circulating the internet says there is a pretty good chance that this is in fact the game.

Anways, take a look at it while you can because if it is real it will probably be removed as the hype builds. And damn, Capcom really loves their zombies.

I know, I know, I’m a day late, sue me. Anyways, for those of you who haven’t been paying attention, this is for you.

Recently released over Xbox Live is the demo for the late Ensemble Studio’s Halo Wars. Again for those who don’t know, Halo Wars is an all new RTS developed exclusively for the console, set in the Halo universe.

Did you know that Halo was originally designed as an RTS long before the idea of an FPS ever materialized? True story.

Wow, the gaming industry must have gotten together and released all of their trailers at once today. But seriously, the new Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles game, entitled TMNT: Smash Up, looks like it kicks ass.

This trailer pretty much marks the games debut but, according to the trailer, will be hitting store shelves this Fall. I wonder if when you get a good hit, it really says BAASH! Hey, without that it might be a deal breaker for some.

Oh yeah, I forgot to mention it’s deing developed by Game Arts, the “dudes that brought you Super Smash Bros. Brawl“.

Do you find your eyes plastered to the computer screen for several hours a day playing none other than Blizzard’s enormously popular World of Warcraft? Well good, then this news is just for you.

Recently released via their forums, Blizzard has given us a sneak peak at whats in store in terms of classe changes when 3.1.0 hits. So far only the Priest, Rogue, and Shaman changes (below) have been released, with the rest of the classes to follow suit:

PRIEST

  • Divine Spirit – this spell is now a core ability available to all priests.
  • Discipline has access to a new talent, Power Word: Barrier. (Think of it as Power Word: Shield for your whole group).
  • Several area of effect (AOE) heal spells have been improved: Prayer of Healing can be cast on any groups in your raid party. Holy Nova’s mana cost has been reduced. Circle of Healing now heals for more.
  • Shadow priest PvP survivability has been improved: Shadow Form now reduces magic as well as physical damage. Dispersion now removes snares.
  • Penance – this spell can now be targeted on the priest.
  • Serendipity – this talent now reduces the cast time of Greater Heal and Prayer of Healing when Binding Heal or Flash Heal are cast.
  • We are also working to give Holy additional PvP utility.ROGUE
  • Hunger for Blood – instead of a self-buff, this ability can only be used when there is a bleed effect on the target. However, it has no stacks and grants a 15% damage bonus.
  • Adrenaline Rush – the cooldown on this ability has been lowered.
  • Lightning Reflexes – reduced to 3 ranks. In addition to 2/4/6% dodge, this talent now also grants 4/7/10% passive melee haste.
  • Killing Spree – while this ability is active, the rogue does 20% additional damage.
  • Savage Combat – now causes 2/4% physical damage done.
  • Mace Specialization – this talent now grants haste in addition to armor penetration.SHAMAN
  • Chain Lightning – now jumps to 4 targets but does less damage. We wanted to make the distinction between Lightning Bolt and Chain Lightning more clear.
  • Storm, Earth and Fire – this talent now increases all damage done by Flame Shock, not just periodic damage.
  • Spirit Weapons – now reduces all threat, not just melee threat.
  • Unleashed Rage – reduced to 2 ranks, now also increases your critical strike chance with melee attacks by 1/2%.
  • Totem streamlining: The Mana Spring and Healing Stream Totems have been combined. The Disease Cleansing and Poison Cleansing Totems have been combined.
  • We are also working on giving Enhancement and Elemental more PvP utility.

If you’ve ever played the Warriors game for PS2, you will be disapointed to hear the upcoming title is in fact not being developed by Rockstar, which is a bummer. However, on the bright side, it is going to be an XBLA title which probably means low prices.

Anyways, Paramount Digital Entertainment has recently announced that a new game based on The Warriors is in the works and excpected to hit the Xbox Live arcade this summer. Now check out the above trailer and try not to cry when you see it’s not like its PS2 counterpart.

Now I must say, as long as this games been rumored to be just over the horizon, I’ve been longing for it. Now just brush away the fact that it’s a movie game and embrace that it is in fact a Ghostbusters game.

Anyways, check out the new Ghostbusters trailer above. It shows off some nifty lookin’ eye-candyish gameplay along with a few scenes from the movies. Looks pretty damn cool.
